In the summer of 1973, a group of teenagers decided to take a road trip around as many of the 50 states as possible within their 2 month vacation. Unfortunately, these teens would soon become some of the many victims that would fall at the hands of a homicidal Tennessee family. These teens were not invited for dinner, they are the dinner.

This is the movie poster from one of my favorite movies, the original Evil Dead (1981). The reason why I love this poster is because, like some of the most famous movie posters,  it is an actual illustration, rather than digitally edited. What I miss about old movies posters like this one is that they are something that you would hang on your wall, like a painting. It draws your attention when you walk by it. The detail of the painting is beautiful. Then there is the font, an original, never before seen font. Finally, there is the background. The simple, dark blue draws your attention to the woman and hand, making it pop more.
